REVIEW: It Ended Badly: 13 of the Worst Breakups in History

A book by Jennifer Wright

00icon_recommendedIt is common knowledge that “breaking up is hard to do,” yet Jennifer Wright’s narration of the most extreme relationship collapses in history seems too bizarre to be factual. Spanning the decades and including the likes of Henry VIII, Nero, Oscar Wilde, and Elizabeth Taylor, this little nonfiction gem is a surprisingly humorous read. Each chapter describes the nature and ill-fated ending of the relationship between 2 historical figures. Amusing chapter titles such as “If your family didn’t like your ex and thought you could do better…..Read about Lucrezia Borgia and Giovanni Sforza” grab the reader’s attention. These stories are so intriguing, you may find yourself doing your own research on the lives and times of the showcased couples.
