GOOD NEWS: Associations oppose new Sergeant Jasper plan

Eight neighborhood associations say they’re strongly opposing a plan by The Beach Company to build an 18-story residential tower, 118,000-square foot of office space, 40,350-square-foot retail facility and large parking garage to redevelop property at Broad and Barre streets.

FOCUS: Don’t allow a monstrosity on Broad Street

By Margot Rose and Jay Williams Jr. | If you like “The Boulevard,” the apartment-office complex on Coleman Blvd, you’re probably a fan of the proposed new Sergeant Jasper complex on Broad Street!

It may not look the same, but that same developer’s plans for a new Broad Street apartment-retail complex are generating the same anxiety here that “The Boulevard” did in Mount Pleasant.
