Our previous mystery, “Maybe our most difficult mystery yet,” must not have been that tough, thanks to anyone who knows how to do an image search via ye olde Internet.  The mural of Anthony Bourdain, Albert Einstein, Jimi Hendrix and Salvador Dali is on the side of the empty Roumillat’s antiques building on Savannah Highway in West Ashley.

PHOTO ESSAY: The murals of Montreal

PHOTO ESSAY: The murals of Montreal

By Andy Brack, editor and publisher  |  The unexpected delights of a recent vacation to Canada were the murals that flourished around Montreal.

According to the city’s tourism website, “street art has become one of Montréal’s core visual identities over the last couple of decades, thanks to the marks left all over the city by intrepid artists like Omen, Bonar, Zïlon, Roadsworth, Chris Dyer, Kevin Ledo, Jason Botkin, the HVW8 and En Masse collectives and so many more. Now with two annual graffiti festivals, one of international renown, there’s something to see on virtually every block.”

MYSTERY PHOTO: Different view of Charleston site

MYSTERY PHOTO: Different view of Charleston site

You may have seen this place before, but maybe not from this angle.  Where and what is it? Send your guess to editor@charlestoncurrents.com. And don’t forget to include your name and the town in which you live.

Our previous Mystery Photo: Our June 24 mystery, “Maybe the toughest yet,” was, in fact, so tough that it almost — almost — stumped veteran sleuth George Graf.   Most who guessed correctly seemed to know the mural was part of the Francis Street parking lot at Artist and Craftsman Supply, 981 King Street in Charleston, which is just around the corner from Rodney Scott’s Barbecue.
