We’ve resisted turning on the comments function on the CharlestonCurrents.com website because of all of the spam that comes through. But we turned them on recently and got seven comments to last week’s commentary by Andy Brack on not getting conned in a local school board race.

We totally agree with what you have said. We visited Cuba in early March with a group and were enchanted. Loved it. Do not want too many changes to take place, though perhaps opportunities for improvement for the lives and comfort of the Cuban people who were quite wonderful.

The Folly Beach County Park restoration will benefit tourism and relieve parking congestion, and has received recognition from a trade association, wonderful! But the whole concept of building groins to relieve beach erosion, however the Army Corps of Engineers may wish to sell it, is a zero-sum game in which sands trapped on one side are excavated from the other.
