The entire time that lane was shut down, there were precious few people riding bikes, especially during the rush hour. I saw the picture of three bikes and how many cars? I would be interested to know how many days someone had to wait to even get a picture of the three riders. “
Judy Carberry, Charleston: “What is the old saying – what goes around, comes around? Maybe a new ferry system would provide people with a pleasant commute and lighten the traffic issues? Judy Carberry: Unfortunately, what that video [of the Ashley River bike lane experiment] does not clearly illustrate is that the exit to Lockwood is down to one lane. Before this was in place, there were two lanes for exiting — those going to the hospitals and those of us going further downtown.
