Our previous Mystery Photo: Our previous mystery, “Lowcountry-style building might be tough to identify, was sent in by reader Frank Bouknight of Summerville.  And boy, was it tough. One person guessed it was a clubhouse. Another guessed something else. But only Cheryl Smithem of Summerville got it right, correctly identifying the building as being part of the Cummins Memorial Theological Seminary.

MYSTERY PHOTO: Lowcountry-style building might be tough to identify

A reader sent in this red-roofed Lowcountry-style house, which makes sense because it’s located in the Lowcountry.  But what and where is it? Hope this one isn’t too hard. Send your guess to:  editor@charlestoncurrents.com.  And don’t forget to include your name and the town in which you live.

Our previous Mystery Photo: Our previous mystery, “It’s not a resort,” sparked some interesting guesses, such as a golf clubhouse on Kiawah and a visitors’ center in Berkeley County.  But the image was of the main laboratory building at the Baruch Institute in Georgetown County …

Our previous Mystery Photo

Our previous mystery, “Maybe this one will be easier,” was, in fact, easier for photo sleuths than the earlier mystery.  This photo, taken by Charleston-area photographer Josh Corrigan, showed a beautiful silhouette of the lighthouse on Sullivan’s Island.  Thanks to Ellis Creek Photography for providing the image.

Our previous Mystery Photo: Our Dec. 31 mystery, “Is it a castle?” should have been easy for people who walk around old Charleston.  It wasn’t a castle, but a close-up photo of the Circular Congregational Church at 150 Meeting Street.

MYSTERY:  A Lowcountry building decked out for the holidays

This week’s mystery comes to us from a loyal reader who said the building almost screams Christmas – even without the wreathes on the front of the building.  Hint: It’s in the greater Lowcountry area and we expect it might be a tough one.  Send your guess to:  editor@charlestoncurrents.com.  And don’t forget to include your name and the town in which you live.

Our previous Mystery Photo: Our Dec. 10 mystery, “Clues in photo might give away where it is,” had enough clues to get a lot of correct guesses from alert readers.  They knew the photo showed the Charleston Maritime Center along the bank of the Cooper River near the S.C. Aquarium.
