Our Feb. 15 photo, “A real tough one to identify,” was just as tough for us as it was many folks.  We’re still not sure exactly what this old industrial building is on Greenleaf Street in the Neck area between Charleston and North Charleston, but it’s pretty clear it’s got something to do with the Kinder Morgan fuel terminal complex south of the old Navy Base.

Staff reports  |  Firefly Distillery last week announced the third installment of its social-distanced Safe Sounds series. The 15 spring and summer concerts will begin March 19 with a performance by Sam Bush.

NEWS BRIEFS: State changes how it calculates COVID-19 positivity rate

Staff reports  |  State health officials last week announced a change in the way they will calculate the percentage of positive COVID-19 tests.

Ten months into the pandemic, officials said the reformed calculation brings the state in line with others and is a better measure of spread.  But slightly lower positivity rates that result should not be used as indicators that COVID-19 poses any less of a risk in the state.
