Last week’s mystery, offered by Deborah Getter of John’s Island, is a quote by the sea at Brown’s Park in Laguna Beach, Calif.    The park reportedly was created as a park for the people by a grandson after his grandfather’s beachfront property was destroyed in a storm.  More.

The full quote, apparently by an unknown author reads:  “In this fleeting moment, what extravagant respite as promethean sunsets blossom, blaze and secede from splendour to mystery. In this fleeting moment, what extravagant respite as booming surf speaks its mystical passage across the undreamed depths.”
