Here’s an old store, but it’s somewhere in Charleston. Can you tell us exactly where? Send your best guess to: editor@charlestoncurrents.com — and make sure to include the name of the town in which you live.
The most recent Mystery Photo may have been a little unfair. It was of a sea turtle recovery room that didn’t open until last week after we published. Even though the Zucker Family Sea Turtle Recovery Center had some press before it was unveiled May 25, the mystery was kind of tricky. A few people guessed local veterinary establishments, but only two people – Wendy Kulick of Kiawah Island and reliable sleuth George Graf of Palmyra, Va., correctly identified the location.
We know the photo was tough because of what Graf, who tracks down most of our mysteries wrote. “I couldn’t find a match anyhow, anyway on this medical room, so I took a pretty much wild guess,” he wrote. “I believe the yellow X-ray machine is for animals and with the books and other clutter in the room, I assume it wasn’t for sterile human surgical use. So I’m interested to see if I was on the right track or way off base. The only thing I really had a possibility of matching was the surgical light style and the blue and khaki garb.”
