My compliments on your thoughtful and incisive editorial included in the 5/30 issue.
You have provided a service to the electorate by reminding people how the words “conservative, liberal, and progressive” have come to vary from their original meaning.
Your use of both historical and local examples serves to illustrate the point of over-simplification all the more. Let us hope that, as a result of your commentary, more people will be more thoughtful in the use of these terms.
