LAST WEEK’S MYSTERY was just too hard (and no one obviously went to Wikipedia). It featured the word “Guida” carved in stone on the side of a building. You might be surprised to find that the carving, shot by contributor Michael Kaynard of Kaynard Photography, is on the side of the Dutarque-Guida House at 105 East Bay Street along Rainbow Row. It reportedly is the only building on the row to keep its Victorian storefront.
