Where is this colorful building in Charleston County?  Send your guess to:  editor@charlestoncurrents.com. And don’t forget to include your name and the town in which you live.

Our previous Mystery Photo: Our Sept. 23 mystery, “Where is this bike parked?” got correct answers from all over.  The bike, as many knew, was outside the College Park baseball stadium at the corner of Rutledge and Francis streets.

PHOTO: A Charleston bike

PHOTO: A Charleston bike

But in this photo, offered by Courtenay Brack, we see a different view — a long shot from a courthouse alley to focus on a Charleston bike with the orange house in the background. Not only is it interesting to look at how people view the same general subject, but the photo reminds us to try to take new looks at everyday object to appreciate them more fully.

New county park is open for business

The new 745-acre Laurel Hill County Park that opened last month offers more places in East Cooper for county residents to run, walk and bike. Laurel Hill County Park is located between U.S. Highway 17 and S.C. Highway 41 in Mount Pleasant, but is accessible to the public from its trail head, located at the Mount Pleasant Recreation Department’s Park West Recreation Complex.
