The Charleston County Public Library is bringing in some of the country’s best storytellers to share with fun and joie de vivre. Walk for Water: 10:10 a.m., March 12, starting at Joe Riley Stadium, 360 Fishburne Street, Charleston. Water Missions International will hold its 10th annual water walk to spread awareness about the global water crisis and raise money. Adult registration is $20, with varying levels for students and youths. After the 3.5 mile walk, there will be fun, games and food. Register and learn more.

St. Paddy’s Pawlooza: Noon to 4 p.m., March 12, Wannamaker County Park, North Charleston. St. Patrick’s Day starts a little early this year during a dog-friendly special event that allows people and dogs to have fun. On tap: live music, beverages and food. Cost: $5. Bushels and Bids: 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., March 12, Charles Towne Montessori School, 56 Leinbach Dr., Charleston. The school’s annual oyster roast and auction is filled with fun, fellowship and neat stuff. Tickets are $30 in advance or $35 at the door. More.

Charleston Fashion Week: March 15-19, Charleston. Tickets now are on sale for the 10th annual event, sponsored by Baker Motor Company. Nightly tickets for the fashion event range from $55 to $155. More.

PSA silent auction: 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., March 19, North Charleston Fire Museum, 4975 Centre Pointe Dr., North Charleston. Palmetto Scholars Academy will offer a night of auction excitement, bluegrass music and tours with food, beer and wine at its annual silent auction. Tickets are $30 per person now or $40 at the door. Gibbes Museum to reopen: May 28. After being shut for months, the art museum on Meeting Street in Charleston will reopen to showcase a $13.5 million renovation expected to improve experiences by visitors. More.

Bird walks: 8:30 a.m. to noon, every Wednesday and Saturday. This is the time of year that a great variety of migrating birds fly through the Lowcountry so what better time to take part in one of the regular early morning bird walks at Caw Caw Interpretive Center in Ravenel.
